THE LIFE OF DEATH A new dark comedy. Director Will Haydock. Assistant director Alison Knott
27/09/19 - 28/09/19
“Let’s face it: after spending millennia around humanity, some of it was bound to rub off!”
On 27thand 28th September, we are pleased to announce the World Premiere of a brand new black comedy.
The Life Of Death is a fictional biography of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, focusing on the eponymous character of Death. It asks what would happen if Death decided to get something he'd never had, namely a life.
This short play comes from the fervid imagination of local playwright Will Haydock, and is presented by the award-winning D.T.A.T. theatre company. It is Will’s first full-length play, and it is a fantastically dark yet funny romp through time and space.
Our newly-extended stage will be populated by a talented cast, made up not just of CLT regulars, but some gifted actors new to our space. Together, they have been working their socks off to ensure the performance goes with a swing. As the theatre has all been rewired over the summer, D.T.A.T. have had to rehearse in various other local venues including the Storyhouse Garret, and also a local hostelry! As you can imagine, the latter was the preferred rehearsal venue.
The company promise you an evening’s entertainment which will be hilarious, touching, heart-warming and yes, even rather frightening in places…
The Life Of Death will be performed in the auditorium on the 27th and 28th of September, at 7:30pm.
Ticket prices: £7 and concessions £6. Tickets are available online via www.chesterlittletheatre.co.uk or by calling TicketSource 0333 666 3366 (booking charges apply to on-line and telephone bookings).
