For these productions cast members must be willing to approach the scripts with a sense of play and experimentation.
It is likely that anybody taking part in the production may be expected to double up as the cast for both plays but the decision on this will be made following the auditions at the end of October.
Rehearsals are expected to start in November.
Art Heist:
4 adults - ideally between 18 and 50 - anywhere on the gender spectrum.
Characters:
The Master of Disguise.
You are a piece of plasticine ready to be moulded. You are a blank canvas ready to be painted on. You are the constituent parts of a sandwich ready to be assembled. You are ready to don your disguise.
You probably watched Mr Benn as a child.
The Professional.
Here are the things you love:

• Eating breakfast, lunch and dinner in fast food restaurants (always)

The Knowledge.
Your life is lived in rappel mode! You have done a lot of heists. This one is a BiG one. Why? Because this is the last heist you’ll ever have to do. You’ll never have to rappel, ever again in the future!

The Guard.
A gallery guard. A guard of the gallery.
As a gallery guard there are two things you love in life: art and playing your instrument. (Not an euphemism.)
As the guard you ideally play the trumpet or another brass instrument but it’s not a deal breaker if you can play another orchestral instrument, unless it’s the Timpanis because that would just be silly.
And these shows aren’t at all silly. No. No siree. Okay, maybe they are a bit. But still no Timpanis, it’d be a nightmare for the stage hands.
