READING: Tuesday 30th June at 7.30 pm
AUDITIONS: Thursday 2nd July at 7.30 pm
The Boy Who Kicked Pigs was originally written to be performed by a cast of four actors, all playing multiple roles. The size of this cast can’t be scaled down, but could be scaled up if desired. All actors will be called on to play characters of a range of ages, and there will also be a good deal of gender-swapping. Auditions are therefore open to performers of any age or gender. The most prominent characters in the show (that we will be auditioning with) are listed below, though please be aware that if you are cast in any of these roles, then you will almost certainly be given additional characters to play
Audition Roles (open to actors of any age and gender)
Robert Caligari: A blood-crazed 13-year-old boy.
Nerys Caligari: Robert’s annoying little sister.
Trevor: Nerys’s piggybank. A voice role.
Thomas Crowe: A journalist at The Kent Clarion.
Wendy Horsebox: A journalist at The Kent Clarion.
Philip Bottering: A work experience student at The Kent Clarion.
