Grimaldi written and directed by Lilian Chapman

Grimaldi, the world's most famous clown, makes his Swan song appearance

Recanting his life from an early age as his fathers side kick, to playing for the Royals, in theatres all over the UK (including Chester)

Born into the theatre, his first performance at the age of 2 was with his wicked father

Suffering from depression, he decided to change clowns forever, painting a white face with red accents, making his huge eyes more noticeable, donning a rubber cap with Mohican strip, wearing beautiful costumes that made him stand out on stage, his acrobatic style was second to none

His story is fascinating, & in tribute, all clowns are called Joey's after Joseph Grimaldi
