A View from the Bridge by Arthur Miller. Directed by Jane Barth30/09/21
Performance dates: Sat 26, Mon 28 February, Tue 1 to Sat 5 March at 7.30 pm
I'm really looking forward to directing this play at long last! This production was originally cast and scheduled for our 2020 season and we're pleased to say that most of those cast will be returning.
We are now looking for one young man to play Rodolpho. It's a main role - he's an illegal immigrant brought into America by his cousin. Stage-age 20s, the actor needs to be slim, attractive and (if possible) have fair hair – or be willing to have their natural hair lightened. They'll also need to sing a verse of a song popular in the 1950s – a “light tenor” is what Miller asks for. It doesn’t need to be Covent Garden standard but reasonably in tune.
We also need two older men to play immigration officers. Stage age: 30s to 60s.
Tuesday 19 October at 7.30 pm we'll hold a part-reading and auditions with the cast.
We may have to hold more auditions on Thursday 21 October so please hold this free if you'd like to be involved.
Please email Jane firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to know more or to register your interest.
