Chester Little Theatre will turn a classic thriller into an off the rails comedy! The Ghost Train is Arnold Ridley's classic drama set in a railway station waiting room in 1930. A very silly young man accidentally strands six passengers at a small Cornish wayside station when he loses his hat.
They decide it's best to wait out the storm that's brewing outside by staying the night in the waiting room, but after the old stationmaster, Saul Hogkins, warns them about the phantom train that haunts the tracks after dark, the evening starts to take one chilling turn after another and they soon come to regret their decision ...
Teddie - Man, 20 to 40
Elsie & Richard Winthrop, 40 - 50
Peggy & Charles Murdock, 20 - 30 - newly weds
Miss Bourne - Man, 60
Julia - Woman, 40
John Sterling - Man, 30 - 50
Herbert Price - Man, 30- 50
Saul Hodgkins - Woman, 20 -30
The ages of the individual characters are approximate but the couples need to be a young, newly wedded couple and a middle aged couple. I'd like to do opposite sex for Miss Bourne and Saul.
